Indigo Roots Band is comprised of three siblings - Bethany, Victoria, and Daniel from the vibrant music scene of Nashville, Tennessee. The three band members seamlessly blend their musical prowess to create a distinctive sound that can be described as progressive bluegrass, while at the same time, honoring traditional bluegrass roots. Indigo Roots takes the listener on a musical journey that reflects the beauty of their Southern heritage while embracing the innovation of progressive bluegrass. The trio has quickly garnered attention for their sound which resonates with bluegrass enthusiasts and those seeking a fresh and modern approach to the genre. Indigo Roots Band's music is a testament to the power of family collaboration, showcasing the unique chemistry and musical synergy that siblings can bring to the stage. 

Meet Victoria Kelley

Lead Singer & mandolin player

Meet Victoria Kelley, the lead singer and mandolin player for Indigo Roots Band. She is a two-time nominee for IBMA Momentum Vocalist of the Year. 

Victoria's voice brims with emotion that resonates deeply. Described as soulful, big, and distinctly Southern, her sound bears the unmistakable influence of soul singers from before her time. 

In addition to singing and playing mandolin, Victoria also utilizes her writing skills at a large corporate company and has an educational background in marketing. 

She is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Songwriting at Berklee College of Music and currently writes most of the band's original material. 

Meet Bethany Kelley

Fiddle player & audio engineer

Meet Bethany Kelley, the fiddle/banjo player for Indigo Roots Band. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Bethany holds a certificate in Advanced Professional Music Production and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in audio engineering. She is the owner and operator of Octopus Garden Studios in Spring Hill, Tennessee. When she's not touring with Indigo Roots Band, Bethany works as a session musician and produces other artist's albums, including future releases for Indigo Roots. In addition to playing, she also has 12 years of teaching experience and currently offers violin, banjo and guitar lessons via Skype. 

Her talent also extends beyond the studio, as evidenced by her numerous victories in talent and fiddle competitions.

Meet Daniel Kelley

Bass Player & Videographer

Meet Daniel Kelley, the bass player for Indigo Roots Band. Daniel not only plays bass but also brings his deep voice to enhance the band's harmonies, creating a melodic foundation with his great sense of rhythm.

Outside of music, Daniel is a professional videographer. 

He uses his skills as a videographer to create music videos, viral content, and commercials. 

His work behind the camera adds a visual layer that perfectly complements the music, contributing to the overall artistic vision of Indigo Roots Band.

Whether he's playing bass or capturing visuals, Daniel Kelley plays a crucial role in defining the artistic blend of Indigo Roots Band.

"Indigo" - a deep, rich variant of the color blue

The name "Indigo Roots" reflects the mix of many influences...

Indigo Roots is a  bluegrass band that often pushes the boundaries of the genre into progressive- style acoustic music, while at the same time honoring bluegrass roots - reflecting the name "Indigo" meaning "Blue"

The band members are all siblings and they all share a birthday week in September. Their birthstone? You guessed it – Indigo Blue. 

Also - As Messianic Jews, (Torah Observant Christians) the band sees deep meaning in the color Indigo, a shade tied to deep spiritual meaning.  So, the name isn't just a label; it's a blend of musical and meaningful spiritual connection.

"Indigo Roots" isn't just a name; it's a nod to the many connections that bring this band together – through music, spirituality, and family. It's a name that tells the story of their unique journey in the world of art and sound.
